Starts at: 10/04/2024 10:00 am - Duration: 4 hour(s)Faraday House, 1 Faraday Close, Eastbourne, BN22 9BH
Training delivered by the East Sussex Wellbeing at Work Programme in partnership with One You East Sussex, based on MECC (Making Every Contact Count).
How to book:
Wellbeing Champions promote healthy lifestyles and inspire others to take a more active role in their health. Having champions is a great way of ensuring that your entire organisation knows where to access to support, and that there are regular activities in place to raise awareness of health and wellbeing. We encourage registered employers to send at least one employee on this crucial training, as having a workplace health champion in your organisation can help you drive forward wellbeing improvements and support your journey to Wellbeing at Work accreditation.
This course will give delegates the confidence and skills they need to become a champion of wellbeing in their organisation. Attendees will learn:
- Making Every Contact Count (MECC) skills, and how to use them to have conversations with colleagues
- how to run health and wellbeing activities in the workplace
- find local services and resources that colleagues can be signposted towards for support
Once qualified, champions will gain access to networking meetings hosted by the Wellbeing at Work team, where champions can access support; best practice examples can be shared; health campaign materials will be distributed and expert-led, topic-based upskill sessions led.
